The Worrisome Ankletrout
TWAT - Taken at The Old Rectifying House, Worcester - 30th May 10
Mr John-Joe Murray is a good friend of mine and a talented multi-instrumentalist. At the start of last year, he asked me to help him release his first solo album. Thanks to the talented efforts of Studio Neck, his album has been recorded, we've spent ages making sure everything is perfect and if you scroll down a little further, you can see it, buy it and soon, even stream it. Marvelous.
The Worrisome Ankletrout is a solo project by John-Joe Murray to make strange and pretty music by using a loop pedal with guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vocals and percussion. The debut EP ‘Shoehorn Jumpy Jar’, recorded by Studio Neck is available now and a new full length album called 'Deep Streams Steep Dreams' is nearing completion, to be released on King Dave records.
Over the past 2 years The Worrisome Ankletrout has performed to audiences all over England at festivals, charity events, art exhibitions and venues. In September 2008 he played some gigs in Paris and performed live on The Friday Session, an unsigned music show on BBC Hereford and Worcester.
