I'll update this section a little later. Have a nice cup of hot chocolate while you're waiting. Go on, treat yourself.

Up for grabs today is the first track from Dead Mellotron's new album 'Glitter' which isn't coming out until 7th May! If you like this then there's plenty more to listen to and buy from their BandCamp page. Again, as is the case with SoundCloud where you have the option to both download and buy the track, you can't see the download option on the embed but it is there. Just click on the grey soundcloud logo to go to the song's page and download it straight from their label's page. ____ Another Worcester based singer/songwriter who came up to do a session at Choice Radio. He's got a little 3 track EP that he put up on Last.fm for free download. Click this link to go there and saffle up those directly from there.

What we've got there is a two track single called 'Lucky and the Spur of the Moment' from 2010. If you like what you hear here then he has several festival dates coming up so keep an eye open for him, I know for a fact that he'll be playing at Nozstock festival so maybe if you're local, you'll see him there. He's also working on recording his first album so 2012 looks set to be an interesting year for this young Hereford musician. I first discovered Catatonia by chance back in 1996 I believe it was when I set my VCR to record Later with...Jools Holland as Metallica were on but it wasn't showing until some silly time in the morning and ggg Sunday Girl is a great pop/Singer/songwriter fron London. Click here for the song.
__SLAP Magazine love them. Cantaloop’s mission is to provide “iFunk” to the masses and is fronted by the hip-hop/funk attack of Dannie Dee with the pioneers of “iFunk” 100c on guitar, Paulo De’ Wooton on bass, and Beef on drums, fleshed out with additional players either (sax or trumpet) and special guests. __Put Paloma Faith, Graham Coxon and Bill Ryder-Jones together in a studio and what do you get? Desire. This track was created by this awesome trio as the next in line of exclusive music collaborations, none of which I've actually heard. In the video Paloma, Graham, Bill and an octopus take you for a ride through the crazy world of Desire. The video is great and as far as I'm concerned, Paloma can do no wrong. I've popped the video here to save you having to click around trying to find it, it's right here, and it's pretty awesome. |
Making your music folder better, one song at a time.
_Pretty much everyday I seem to find some amazing exclusive tracks that
some awesome artists are giving away for free as a special one off
promotion. Today, it occured to me that instead of just downloading
them, maybe reposting them on facebook if they're special enough/someone I know and
then moving on, I should start a little music blog on here. Even if it
doesn't last forever, it's still a free song for you each day that it
does! I'd say the character of this blog is mostly electropop and singer/songwriter but I've got plans for mathcore, post-rock and glitch-hop. A lot of these tracks have a download limit of 100 so get in there on the quick. I'd also point out that a lot of the songs will need renaming once you've downloaded them so I'd do them one at a time. Archives
