Destroy It Yourself was set up last year in response to the sheer amount of acoustic finger-picking and strumming completely dominating the music venues of Worcester. The mission was was to bring back the madness of the TJ's days and provide a perminant metal venue for Worcester/Malvern bands and a home away from home for those visiting. Every gig had The Pig & Drum packed with rockers and metalheads and heralded the dissolution of emo guys strumming acoustic guitars and singing about their girlfriends...below is just a tiny indication of the mayhem and madness that's happened so far...

This was one of the best Destroy It Yourself nights so far thanks to the always awesome Samuel Sharp and the always terrifically terrible Toxic Pijin. Absolute Ataxia were sandwiched inbetween these two monsters.

Another aweome night from two of the midlands finest metal bands. Deacon Birch from Malvern were on first and lived up the all expectations.

This month Joe Patroni took to the stage for the usual hard rocking antics that you'd've come to expect from this local Worcester 3 piece outfit. I must admit that I missed half of their set as I was down the road at a different gig where their drummer Chris Wemyss had played a gig earlier the same night before hot-footing it to the Pig & Drum. The highlight of the set was 'Friends Make Great Enemies'. The band are currently in the studio working on a new album to expect to hear more from them soon.

The last gig at The Pig, and the last gig for Destory
